This is to encourage players to go for these pickups to help them master their spawn time and use techniques. Interestingly, the intent is to have teammate bots skip powerful pickups like Quad Damage if they see a human player going for it. Bots will be limited to deathmatch, team deathmatch, and instagib to start, but more modes will be unlocked for them down the line. At the initial rollout, players will be able to select bot difficulty level. That includes strafe jumping, trick jumping and other standard Quake moves. At launch, bots won't be able to use Champion abilities, but they can use pretty much all tactics human players do. Quake Champions developer id Software has confirmed that AI bots are in development, and will be released at a later date.īots will be used to fill player spots in underpopulated games, but you'll also be able to use them to train. It can sometimes be challenging to find a full Quake Champions match online, but this will soon change when AI bots get added.
